Training programs

Perimeter offers the 1 year masters PSI program, as well as regular MSc and PhD residency programs. Students interested in the PSI program should apply here. Some PSI students choose to stay for a second year and do an internship in quantum industry. See more on the program here.

Students interested in the MSc or PhD program can either enter as PSI students or apply directly to the PhD program at U Waterloo. They should list relevant PI faculty members as potential supervisors.

Courses

Each year the quantum information elective is offered as part of the PSI program. This is open to all residents. Most past offerings are available online on pirsa.org:

Other courses or mini-courses are offered occasionally. Here are some past selected courses:

A robust line-up of graduate level courses are offered at IQC and open to Perimeter students. These include Quantum Information I, Quantum Information II, Quantum Algorithms, and many others.
